Good grief!
I’m not one to knock a good marketing campaign, but enough is just enough!
People are stopping medications so they can manifest wellness, without real effort otherwise. Folks are abandoning all manner of sane behavior so that they can attract the future they want with their newfound attitude. Okay, so sometimes, for some people, that works. But the percentage it works for is miniscule in comparison to people learning a multitude of other lessons beside the Law of Attraction. So please - let’s just stop this nonsense. I can’t take the silliness for one more minute!
Yes, The Secret is very useful for some folks, and in fact before we reach ultimate enlightenment, or even no longer have to return to this plane for our lessons, we will all have to learn and utilize its principles, but no, it is not the guiding principle leading everyone’s life this time around! It is just an incredibly attractive one, and when it works for those who are of that ilk, lesson plan, life lesson this incarnation, it sure is pretty and has lots of bells and whistles.
BUT
It ain’t all there is, and in fact, it ain’t even close to it. And frankly, a reasonable person ought to be able to look around and see that! But we human spirits sure do like the easy way out, huh.
I’ve been hesitant to respond to this madness even though even initially, it was skewed out of proportion, because far be it from me to want to be perceived as a voice of negativity. But I heard a woman say recently that she was going to manifest better health and stop taking her high blood pressure medication. I figured she better do something about her weight and no exercise first, but she seemed intent that she could attract lower pressure with very little other work.
I figure that anything I say surely can’t be as negative as what happens to people who operate without reason from this cure-all craze.
So enough!

I've just read your excellent post on 'The Secret' and I so agree with you. As I guess you know, I believe the LoA is real - a law of science, which no one can set aside, but some people are indeed apt to do crazy things when they hear about it.
This is not the fault of the Law, obviously, nor of the teachers, some of whom I know to be people of great integrity. Two of my favorite teachers, Bill Harris and Bob Doyle, seem to have to devote about 90% of their writing and speaking efforts to debunking people's muddled notions about LoA.
The fault is in people's misconceptions, and we all know how many wars have been fought over spiritual misconceptions!
Stopping medication is absurd, and actually runs contrary to the best teaching on LoA. I have tried to examine this question (very imperfectly!) in my post, 'Do You Need To Pay Your Health Insurance?'
In my own view, the correct starting point is to feel immense gratitude for all that we have right now, and to affirm ourselves to be in the process of manifesting our goals.
